We celebrated Ban des Vendanges at Vergelegen wine estate at which occasion the 2013 harvest was blessed, followed by the intronisation of Commandeurs, a tasting of older noted South African red wine vintages and some selected Bordeaux reds, and a sumptuous dinner at the on-site restaurant, Camphors at Vergelegen. A stunning experience. Insofar as wine is concerned Vergelegen represents holy ground to all committed wine lovers.
